Iowa never issued any type of porcelain license plate, but here’s one. This plate was probably a salesman’s sample or someone that didn't like the metal 1915 Iowa license plate that they were issued and had this porcelain license plate made up special. It’s the only known example of an Iowa porcelain license plate.
