Although Missouri never issued any porcelain license plates, there were quite a few porcelain city license plates from different Missouri cities. The #35257 is dated 1915. The regular issued plate for that year was metal and it was black numbers on a green background. It’s anybody’s guess what that plate is but it’s the only known example. The city of Saint Louis issued porcelain city license plates from 1904 to 1912. The 1912 is a small round porcelain plate. The top two plates were issued in Saint Louis County only in 1906 and 1907. The other Missouri cities that issued porcelain license plates were Kansas City, Independence, Saint Joseph, and one known example from University City, which is near Saint Louis. The Kansas City 1912 #D45 is a dealer plate. Just recently found was a city porcelain plate from Chillicothe.
