Here are many different styles of New York pre-state license plates and various other unique New York license plates. The 1910 #13 is the 13th License Plate ever issues in the state of New York. The #27738 and 14021 are two of the very few known examples that are made of porcelain. The #GKP is an owner initial plate, which just by chance we found the matching 1904 pre-state license plate number for the same man. It is #8745 in a later photo. 15 Porcelain long island motor parkway license plates which is the first complete set ever assembled. Five Initial leather plates which are the first license plates in the USA - there are many different styles of homemade pre-state plates in many of these photos made from many different materials such as leather, wood, brass, canvas, tin, aluminum, metal, etc... - The #0455 is unusual as it starts with a zero - the plates hanging on the rafters are double sided plates, if you lived in one state and worked in another state, you were required by law to display a plate from each state. Very have survived with both plates on the same pad, front and back - several NY/NJ, NY/PA, NY/Mass. and NY/Conn. The four plates starting with letter “M” are manufacturer’s plates, the #m1927 is leather and the two #1776 are heavy cardboard believed to also be pre-states. There are a few various porcelain city plates, such as Mount Kisco, Syracuse and Valley Stream. Two porcelain plates from Roosevelt Field on Long Island, probably an airport parking pass.  The 1910 and 1912 Boards are collected by every series of 1000 numbers, Lacking only 3 1912's, 5000, 25000, 26000 and a Porcelain 96000.  The 1910's are Complete.
